New York Non-Beauty Lust List

new york non beauty list

In comparison to my beauty list for New York this is quite short
I don't really need any clothes as half my wardrobe doesn't fit me right now and I don't see the point in buying too many more clothes in a larger size as I intend to shift this weight again but I will probably pick up a few bits...knowing me!
I have a weakness for handbags and want to pick up a new designer bag on holiday, I think I've settled for one now but there's so many to choose from

1. Marc by Marc Jacobs Phone Case ~ A little bit of designer for my iphone, I love Marc by Marc Jacobs designs and this phone case is cute and I love the colour

2. Ugg Boots Black Short ~ I live in my Ugg boots come winter and this year I realised I need a black pair as sometimes the brown ones look funny, there is no way I'm willing to pay the UK prices though so I'll try and find some in New York but it's not the end of the world if I don't

3. Abercrombie and Fitch Hoody ~ Everytime I go to the states I go over board in the A&F shops, it's just so cheap compared to the UK but I really don't need the majority of what I end up buying. But I can't not buy anything, I'll limit myself to just the one hoody though.

4. Mulberry Continental Wallet ~ We're flying from London Heathrow which has a Mulberry shop in the terminal, I bought my Alexa bag from duty free Mulberry and I do believe it needs a friend in the shape of a Mulberry purse. I think the Continental design is classic and gorgeous, perfect for something you use on an everyday basis.

5. Michael Kors Handbag ~ I think this is the chosen handbag, I love the Michael Kors bags and I wanted a classic shape but it has to be large too as I carry my life around in my bag. I also wanted a lighter colour as my Mulberry is wine coloured and my Luella bag is black so there's a space for a light offering, some kind of brown I reckon.

6. I ♥ NY t-shirt ~ A must buy for any trip to New York, pretty self explanatory really. This would look cute paired with a shirt and leggings too

7. Tiffany Infinity Necklace ~ I've been wearing my Mum's Tiffany necklace for so long now as my favourite necklace my fiance bought me broke again. I think it's about time I gave it back but it needs replacing with something just as pretty. Plus we have to visit Tiffany's in New York!

Any other shops I must visit?

New York Beauty Lust List

beauty list ny

So I know I've been going on about it for quite some time but I fly off to New York in just over 2 months and I am INSANELY excited!
I've wanted to go for so so long and my Mum and myself are finally making it to the big apple for four days before setting sail on a nine day Caribbean cruise
Naturally as a beauty blogger I have quite a long list of make up and beauty related bits and pieces I want to get
I'm sure there will be other things I'll pick up as there always is
I wanted to mainly buy the products we can't easily get hold of over here, like the:

Kat Von D makeup range ~ I love liquid eyeliners and really want to try some of the Kat Von D makeup as you can't get it over here
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushers ~ These pop up absolutely everywhere in blog world and they look completely amazeballs
Milani Baked Blushers ~ Again these pop up all over the place and you can't get them in the UK, plus their drug store so cheap
Physicians Formula ~ Ditto above!
Bath and Bodyworks ~ Something tells me I will be like a kid in a candy shop in here and expect to spend a lot of pennies...
And of course plenty of MAC!
I'm really looking forward to getting away for a bit and spending some quality time with my Mum
It's been a tough year and this break will be just what we need before getting completely stuck into wedding planning on our return (EXCITING!)

Do you have any recommendations on what I should pick up on the other side of the pond?
Or any suggestions on must sees in NYC?

Clarins Wish List

Clarins Spring 13

Clarins has recently become quite the favourite in the blog world and I've seen so many reviews on various products
Prompting me to have a browse of their website and I think I may have fallen in love, multiple times!
My cousin works in a salon which is run by Clarins and she uses all their makeup and I completely trust her judgement so let the spending commence.
The above collage is just a few of the products I'm lusting after

1. Pore Minimizing Serum £23.00 ~ As I've said numerous times on my blog I've been suffering with bad skin for so long now. I was hoping it was just a freak break out last summer but it still hasn't really calmed down and I can't figure out what it is in my lifestyle doing it. So all I can do is try new products in the hope of finding something to soothe my skin woes...I'm hoping this serum may be it, having never tried a serum ever before I'm very intrigued by this and will most definitely be picking this up. It claims to visibly shrink your pores resulting in smoother and tighter skin. Fingers Crossed!

2. Rouge Eclat Lipstick in Woodrose £18.50 ~ This one is pretty self explanatory really, pretty dusky pink colour, gorgeous packaging, lipstick...I'm sold

3. Beauty Flash Balm £29.00 ~ This has been a cult beauty product in the 'blogosphere' for so long now and I don't know why I haven't tried it yet, I'm a huge sucker for hype and give in on most occasions. It claims to be a radiance booster and that it eliminates signs of fatigue in a flash. I.Need.This. Simple, my skin looks so dull all the time and I need something to perk me up so I'll definitely be purchasing this one.

4. Palette Eclat Face & Blush Powder £30.00 ~ Lets just take a minute to enjoy the beauty of this palette...stunning. With every new collection release there is a new powder with a beautiful design of some sorts and this season is the pretty hibiscus flower. A little while ago I splurged on the mosaic face powder they released and it's still going strong, in fact it's one of my favourite make up items and I love how well it's lasted. This being said I might not need a new powder compact but hey I'm a beauty blogger I so need this!

5. Eye Quartet Mineral Palette £30.00 ~ Rather expensive for four eyeshadows but their so puuuurdy. I'm deeply regretting not purchasing the previous eye quartet from Clarins so don't think I'll be letting this one slip through my fingers. Even if it is an early birthday present to myself! The colours are pretty and wearable, perfect for both an everyday look and to smoke it out for an evening look.

Do you have any recommendations for Clarins products?

Christmas List

Christmas is my favourite time of year
I'm just like my Mum, we are the most festive people in our family
Last year we didn't celebrate as usual because my Grandad was in hospital
This year we're going to do him proud and have a great Christmas for him
I love spending time with my family and the festive period is all about family for us
Every weekend is full of various get togethers
I like to plan Christmas shopping very early and most people just laughed in my face when I asked what they wanted, back in September.
But now I have a super organised list for everyone and am about 80% done
I can't wait to sit down with a cheesy Christmas film, candles lit and a glass of wine to wrap them all up
As a lover of lists I've made a 'visual guide' as my boyfriend always says he won't buy me anything off of a list...

1. Philosophy Sugar Plum Fairy Gift Set ~ Boots
I actually bought this for a friend for Christmas and have fallen for the cute little set myself. The smell of the shower gel is amazing and it comes with a lovely little lipgloss, both a stunning deep purple colour. When I go to NYC I want to purchase a few Philosophy bits so I see this as a sampler to the goods ;)

2. Converse Sequin Trainers ~ Schuh
I saw these in a magazine a little while ago and thought they were gorgeous!
I've always been a converse girl at heart, at one point I had around 8 pairs...back in my emo/skater days...
I really like how these have a bit of glam factor about them
On the site I even read a review of a bride planning to wear these laced with ribbon on her wedding day...such a cute idea for a heel-phobe (I'm not phobic of course just can't walk in them to save my life!)

3. Stila Into The Light Eyeshadow Palette ~ Boots
This has appeared on countless blogs recently
Of course I've been lemming it, a neutral eyeshadow palette, it has my name all over it
Considering it's had such great reviews I'd love to add it to my little collection
It seems a bit smaller than the Urban Decay palette but mainly in length so it should fit in my smaller make up bag for on the go/travelling, perfect

4. Ted Baker Twinkee Glitter Bow Large Washbag ~ Ted Baker
Girly. Nude. Sparkly. Bow
Every girl needs a pretty washbag, self explanatory

5. Marc by Marc Jacobs Amy Gold Watch ~ Goldsmiths Jewellers
I've been drooling over gold, chunky watches for a while now but haven't quite found the one. It was close between this one and a Michael Kors watch, seeing as I got one for my 21st I figured I'd branch out into a different brand.
I kind of know for a fact that I won't be getting this simply because we aren't doing big presents this year but a girl can dream.

6. Too Faced Sweet Indulgence Make Up Set ~ Boots
I've never tried any Too Faced make up before but again seen plenty about it on blogs.
This limited edition kit looks like the perfect introduction to the brand.
A good mixture of eyeshadows, blushers, primer etc.

What's on your Christmas list this year?
Any traditions your family have?

Lust List

IMG_2372

1. Urban Ears Headphones in 'Grape' £50
2. Lush Sea Salt Hair Spray £9.95/100ml
3. Topshop Khaki Embellished Playsuit £45
4. MAC Eyebrow Pencil in 'Fling' £12.50
5. Love Dusky mesh pleated skirt dress £45
6. (missing the number) Schuh Bob Studded Ankle Boots £80

All of the above items are things I've been lusting after recently...and trying to justify buying.
As I'm off to New York in May next year I keep buying the odd thing and thinking to myself 'Oh that would be brilliant in New York', this doesn't work so well on the boyfriend though!
A few such purchases have been a lovely burgundy pair of Vans trainers, of course these were necessary for all the walking, to be done in style of course. I also asked for a Cath Kidston Saddle bag for my Birthday which my Dad kindly bought me, again I figured it was perfect for New York.
Out of this list of course I can only justify half of the items....those headphones have been calling to me since I saw them on Zara from Mouldyfruits blog (apologies I don't know how to link!) I love the grapey purple colour and think these would be great for in the gym too.
The playsuit and dress are gorgeous! The dress is just so girly and very me, I have fallen in love...after four days in New York we're going on a cruise so this little beauty would be great for the smarter evenings and the cute little playsuit would be perfect for the more casual evenings.
As for the rest of my list...the sea spray is something I've been interested in since seeing the Bumble and Bumble version but I'm pretty sure this is cheaper. Once my hair grows out a bit I'd love to be able to get the beach waves look.
I'm still on a mission to try all sorts of different eyebrow products, so far still loving Benefit Browzings, so being an avid lover of MAC I really want to try this out too.
And the boots...well they are AMAZING! I need them in my life...

Anything you guys are lusting after?

Take Care

Beauty Lust List

beautylustlist

Benefit BrowZings ~ I recently collared in Boots by one of the lovely Benefit ladies, I was only looking for a cheap everyday foundation to use for work but ended up walking away with a freshly made up face and a few naughty purchases, the new foundation (post to come), a tester set of the face products and an eyebrow pencil. I've only recently got into penciling in my eyebrows so haven't tried many products the MA has booked me in this Thursday for a tutorial on how to use the BrowZings so be prepared for a post on that, must prepare the bank balance too!

Estee Lauder Double Wear ~ After trying the new Benefit foundation I'm eager to try some other new ones. I've been religious to my MAC Studio sculpt for over a year so want to try a few different products, any suggestions welcomed. I've seen this reviewed on many blogs so figure it must be worth a try.

Chanel Rouge Volupte ~ Just because it's pretty, it's pink and it's Chanel...do I need anymore explanation?

MAC Pink Swoon Blusher ~ I love love love blushers and always want to expand my collection. Other than Well Dressed my collection is mainly Coral based, Pink Swoon is completely different to anything I own already. I'm coming up to six empties for my back to MAC so may give this a little swatchy swatch whilst I'm there.

Neals Yard Eye Make-up remover ~ I've recently been favouring a little pamper session every evening rather than just using a make up wipe. I've nearly run out of my Estee Lauder eye make up remover so I'd like to give this one a try next. If I'm ordering online I'd like to buy a few other bits but not sure what, guess some blog reading is in order there...

Essie Splash of Grenadine ~ My cousin is a beautician and when she painted my toes before Kenya I noticed she had this colour on her toes and I loved it! Shame I'd already chosen my pedicure colour which I also loved :P It's such a summery colour and I think I may have just enough Boots points for a little treat.

If any of you out there have tried any of these let me know what your opinions are.
