I can see the pain behind your eyes, it's been there for quite a while

Lace Blouse ~ Next
Nude Vest ~ New Look
Dark Skinny Jeans ~ New Look
Black Suede Heels ~ Next
Handbag ~ Luella

I wore this for a recent meal out with a few girlfriends.
I felt really comfortable which makes a change as I usually feel a bit bleb and don't go out much (loser I know).
These long vests from New Look are brilliant, their only £6 and go so well under sheer tops, short jumpers or just on their own. I've stocked up, can never find nice, fitted, long vests.

Next Banana Pumps

nude pumps

Nude Sequinned Banana Heeled Pumps
Next
£38

nude pump

I caved... and I love them
However they kill my feet
Most definitely a sit down dinner kind of shoe
But they are simply gorgeous!
The nude suede makes legs seem that little bit longer, not quite as effective as the nude patent loubs I've got my eye on though
And that little bit of sequinning on the toe bit is just enough to not be tacky but to still add that little something to the shoe
I've worn them for a few drinks but the 10 minute walk to the pub and back was pretty much agony, more so on the way back
I'll just wear them in ;)

Next Autumn 2012

NEXT AUTUMN 2012
For the past couple of years I have found myself shopping more and more in Next
I used to think the people who would wait for hours for Next sales were raging loons but now I join them...maybe not at 5am but at the more respectable 10am...
Their home range is to die for, I love all the interior items they have to chose from and always wander round the home section.
I'm also a massive lover of Autumn fashion, it's my favourite time of year to shop
All the rich colours, warm knitwear, layering pieces...heaven for me!
Last night I popped into my local Next (lethal being open till 8!) and had a nosey at the new  Autumn clothes, it was love. I only bought a little black studded top being the day before payday but will most definitely be going back armed with my shopping list.
After all my boyfriend did say he didn't want anything for his birthday, surely a happy girlfriend is present enough ;)

1. Berry Jumpsuit ~ £55
2. Angora Mix Tunic ~ £35
3. Animal Print all in one ~ £28
4. Pink two in one Dress ~ £39
5. Slipper Boots ~ £16
6. Black Studded Slippers ~ £30
7. Check Dress ~ £55
8. Oatmeal Stag Sweater ~ £24
9. Bow Dress ~ £60
10. Banana Heel Courts ~ £38
11. Brushed Lace Dress ~ £45
12. Studded Chiffon Top ~ £20
13. Brushed Cotton Chinos ~ £20

I'm most temped to pick up the nude, sparkly heels on Friday for a birthday night out in London on Saturday, they look so comfy as well as glamorous and perfect for the festive season with the little bit of sparkle..well I've just managed to persuade myself anyway.
And of course the onesie is a must have for sofa days in this lovely rainy, cold weather we're having.

Birthday wish list

IMG_1530

My birthday may not be until the beginning of August but today at work was ridiculously slow and boring so I started thinking about what I may like...

Bobbi Brown Make-up Brush Set ~ I need to replace all of my old and crappy make-up brushes, especially now that I'm more into the mantra of a good brush can make all the difference to make-up application

NARS 'Sex Appeal' Blusher ~ I already own both the Orgasm and Deep Throat blushers and love them, there's something about a coral blusher I can't resist. And a coral NARS blusher is even more irresistible. Sex Appeal is a much lighter, more peach toned blusher... I'm torn between this and the glitter ball that is New Order, decisions decisions!

Stila 'Into the night' Eyeshadow Pallet ~ I adore eyeshadow pallets, they just appeal to my magpie senses. I don't own any Stila products and would love to dabble in their line. This looks like the perfect entry with gorgeous colours and a matte brown smudge stick to play with. I dare so it could be love...move over Naked pallet there's a new kid on my block (hopefully)

Next dresses and floral jacket ~ I am lusting after pretty much all of Next's clothes right now. I can often be found wandering around my local store admiring the pretty colours and prints. These three items is me being very very restrained! I'd also love some of their workout clothes but that's too boring for birthday presents no?

Cath Kidston goodies ~ Their website has recently launched the 50% off sale and who doesn't love a bit of Cath Kidston! Everything is just gorgeously girly.

Next tea cup lamp and wide wall organiser ~ My sensible side has reared it's head and I love this wall shelving thingy it would be perfect make up storage, I can see my favourite nail varnishes lined up on the top with some necklaces dangling down the bottom along with some favourite make up items in the drawers...perfection. The tea cup lamp...what can I say it's gorgeous! I must own this! It is however £50 but all that cuteness it has to be worth it...

Ikea Helmer ~ And for the rest of my make up collection these functional, sleek, tidy drawers. Make up storage sorted :)

So a bit of a mixed bag there and I've actually sent this to both my Mum and Dad and the boyfriend...who knows the make up storage of my dreams may be mine...

Cause you were born to be my baby

Today is my best friend's 21st Birthday so...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAT!
We've had a busy week together
Wednesday was spent opening presents, eating cupcakes, shopping, and going to the cinema
Friday we went out for dinner at Chiquitos and joined our guy mates for an evening of bowling
Saturday night we ventured up to Hyde Park for Hard Rock Calling to see the glorious Bon Jovi (my fav band) it was so so hot and we practically melted...god knows how we'll cope in Egypt!
After Bon Jovi had finished we jumped on the train home and straight into Kat's car down to go down to Brighton. One of the guys also turned 21 today so they were all out drinking their wages away. We just joined them for a few hours on the beach with fish and chips :) was rather spontaneous of us but awesome!
And then today (Sunday) I joined Kat and her family for a goooorgeous spanish meal in a local town, Reigate. It was so good! Once stuffed we wandered around the park for a bit in the lovely 27 degree heat...mmmm. Had a ride on the bumper cars, drank slushy drinks and chilled in the sun.
Such an amazing couple of days and I hope Kat had a great birthday :)
Love her to bits
Enough of the soppyness :P I promised a collective haul so here it is
This is from the last couple of months not bought in one go!!

Hot and sweaty at Bon Jovi
Third time I've seen them and easily the best!
Floaty, backless chiffon top, Warehouse, £25
I tried this on full price at £40 and loved it but couldn't justify that much money on one top so was rather happy to find it in the sale
You can't really see it here but this is the back
I'll get a photo of it on when I wear it
 Flora Playsuit, Tesco, £16
I love this and can't wait to wear it on holiday
Black and white Maxi, Republic, £40
I saw this and was instantly drawn to it, I'm thinking its the beaded detailing on the neckline
I don't really own anything like it and it's very flattering on

Blue tunic, Next, £35 (I think)
So light and summery, perfect for the hot weather at the moment
Nude embellished waistcoat, Primark, £13
Love this, again something I don't anything similar
I tend to wear this with a plain black top and skinny jeans
Hibiscus print dress, Primark, £5
So summery! We haven't had the weather to wear this without leggings since I bought it and it looks strange with them so I may have to crack it out this week if the weather keeps up
Cropped denim jacket, Primark, £16
Kat bought this a couple of weeks ago in Lakeside and I loved how it looked on her
I have a Tommy Hilfiger denim jacket but it's not very fitted and kind of reminds me of something my Mum had in the 90's...impulse buy from America!
I bought this just before we headed to Bon Jovi, good job I did for our trip to the beach after!
Cream lace top, Next, £22
Since I've been going out again I realised I didn't have much in the way of evening outfits
I had some old stuff but it's most definitely not my kind of style anymore so when I saw this I thought it could look nice with plain skirts and blazers etc.
Navy and white polka dot palazzo pants, Next, £35
These are the trousers from my previous post
Very comfy :) except I always trip myself up in the flowy legs!
Grey textured skirt, Next, £38
I wore this on a night out with the lace top above and it looked really nice
I felt good too, which doesn't happen very often!
Floral bandeau dress, Peacocks, £16
Love the turquoise and coral colours together
Should be nice for holiday
Just a few beauty bits I've picked up recently
Tangle Teezer,, Barry M shatter coats in pink and blue, Tweezers, OPI I Vant to Be a Lone Star, MAC lipstick Hibiscus, MAC surfbaby cheek powder My Paradise, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

Top: Gold flower in My Paradise
Middle: Coral section in My Paradise
Bottom: Hibiscus
I finally got my hands on the Naked palette :D So happy!
OPI Skull and Glossbones, Rimmel Ultraviolet and Show Off, Impulse Tease with free Barry M lipgloss, Accessorize flower earrings £8
I love all of the nail varnishes. I was on the hunt for the perfect lilac colour and this is very close but not quite there, it's not quite as vivid as I want it. I'll find it one day!
I won't bore you with swatches as it's on every blog going somewhere but this is my new love
So pretty...
Sorry their a bit dirty I wore them traipsing around London all day last week
Turquoise frilly sandals, Primark, £6
These are so comfy I'm tempted to get another pair in a different colour
Coral suede courts, New Look, £25
I'm loving coral colours at the moment
They scream summer to me
These started off really comfy but towards the end of the night my feet were sore
As with all heels though

Well there's my recent goodie collection
I'm loving all the summer clothes in store at the moment but don't have much money which sucks
Hopefully I'll have some more funds for duty free shopping in July

'I'm a genie in a bottle...'

I don't know why but the sun makes me want to listen to old school songs from my childhood
Beenj loving these long weekends, most of my friends work 9-5 mon-fri so I only get to see them at the weekend...samne time I see the boy so it's hard to fit everyone in...oh god that sounds ridiculous!!
But anyway I digress... I've been loving my breaks from uni work to just chill in the park or elsewhere with some of the greatest people :)

When the student loan came in I designated myself a tiny amount of money to have a little splurge
Should get the goodies up soon I guess..
One of my favourite things I've bought recently are these trousers, which I've decided to call my genie pants, hence the post title
They are seriously some of the comfiest trousers I own and were only £24 from Next, with a £15 giftcard only £9 wahey :D
This is how I wore them to work, super casual to be comfy all day
Striped Top: Topshop
Brown Cardigan: American Eagle
Red 'Genie' Pants: Next
Sand Flats: Next

I've recently rediscovered a few items of make up
One being Benefit's Coralista and now I remember why I love this so much
Perfect amount of colour for natural rosiness
and it smells gorgeous too

Hope everyone had an awesome couple of long weekends

Something for the weekend...

Well it's been another busy week
I can't wait for the next few months to be over, especially uni
My heads been all over the place but it's something I won't go into here
After rejoining Weightwatchers I've lost 6 lbs in the first week so I'm pretty happy
Fingers crossed I can keep it up
I've got a few goals in mind with where I want to be weight wise
For a healthy BMI I should be between 10.3 and 12.11
I won't be posting how much I currently way until I shift it
I'm aiming for 11.7 stone, I think this is a good middle ground for me to get to
And i shouldn't look weird that slim
I've always been big, I was a big baby and have never been slim
I always knew I was bigger than the other kids at school but I just accepted it
However I have hated the way I look since I can remember but always got stuck in the cycle of comfort eating to get over it
I'm definitely a comfort eater and whenever something goes wrong (which is a lot) I eat, I wish I was the kind of person who loses their appetite during times like that but I'm just not and I'm used to it
But now I am so determined
I don't want to feel like this anymore
I want to be able to feel good about myself
Which is why I'm doing this for myself now and will succeed
I'll post briefly every now and again about how it's going but won't bore you all too much!
Other than that I've been quite busy with work, uni and friends
We went bowling for a friends birthday and it was so nice to catch up with some of the guys I used to hang around with, being the only girl I was surprised when I very nearly beat them all!!
Oh and we got a new fish tank...it's huge so we can get some friends for Ballbag the second and Lieutenant Shiny sides
On Saturday Mum treated to me this jumper dress and some floral brogues from Next
We plodded off to the cinema after and saw Big Momma and then for a Nandos....perfection
Love spending days with my Mum like that
Also saw Yogi Bear during the week with her, we're such big kids! And Gnomeo and Juliet with the bestest, all three films were enjoyable and cheered me up/distracted me!

Grey jumper dress with blush lace: Next (£28)
Worn with black leggings: New Look
Black biker style boots: Dorothy Perkins
 Few detail shots...
This was my outfit from Saturday
Taken post day out so I look a bit tired and scruffy

Dress: Primark
Cardigan: Topshop
Black brogues (not shown): Primark
Gavin likes to take the piss out of me taking outfit photos and photobombs when he's around
Apparently whenever I close the bedroom door he knows exactly what's going on....
This time I was attacked by Stanley, my Cath Kidston draught excluder
You can't see him but Gavin is actually behind me....
