'Talking to the Moon'

I'm loving Bruno Mars' album right now, it's on repeat in my car (must get it on my ipod)
I've had a rollercoaster of a week.... well emotionally
Had an awesome day with the bestest Monday, Tangled is awesome! I love Disney films anyway but this was a lovely film, if you love Disney I would definitely recommend seeing it.
Tuesday was spent at work in a foul mood, things aren't great in my noggin right now. It's a long story and something I won't be broadcasting over the internet needless to say I'm in desperate need of some cheering up.
I went out Thursday night for a friends birthday, meal at TGI's then a few pubs
Was a really nice night, so good to see my friends from the cinema again, took my mind off of things for a while
Had a complete dilemma with choosing what to wear
Made me kind of upset seeing the photos this morning, I look rather 'plump'
It's so frustrating that no matter how hard I work to lose weight nothing happens
My graduation on 28th July is my goal to have lost a stone and a half, then November another stone...fingers crossed
I might join Weightwatchers again, it worked before but I hated counting points so not sure about it
Uni today, looooong day :( I did go to the cinema with mum to blow off some steam though, saw Sanctum this time, very tense but a good film
Been working hard at the gym unlike last week, managed 22mins running again but when I ran today my knees and hips were killing me but my trainer still put me through my paces
My legs are so sore right now!!

After that ramble I'll pop up what I wore for my friends birthday
I pretty much suck at a smokey eye but tried it with my AIW Urban Decay pallette using Jaberwocky, Vorpal and White Rabbit I think
I thought it came out allright...kept the rest of my face quite neutral and just wore my MAC Nymphette lipgloss

I initially decided to wear this grey shirt from New Look but noticed it's a bit tight at the bottom (boo!!) so felt really self-conscious and changed for the other floral one, also from New Look. To be honest I don't think this outfit flatters me at all but I only had half an hour to do my hair, make up and get changed so couldn't really dither about choosing what to wear. Needless to say I'm going to work extra hard in the gym this week. And improve the diet....we did have a salad for dinner tonight though which isn't too bad, and I had fruit after. Just need to keep it up! Fingers crossed....
Shirts: Both New Look
Black top: New Look
Blazer: New Look (My Mum treats me in there a lot!)
Jeans: Torrid
 Worn with...
Lace pumps: Tesco
Black patent tote bag: Guess

And this is me with my lovely friend Matt

My weekend this week will consist of workouts and photoshoots
Oh what a fun life!
Any tips on how to cheer up a miserable cow or how to lose weight when your already trying your hardest leave below!? Thank you :)

Love

"Jingle Bells"

This has been a pretty crazy week
Monday I was working with my Mum and finishing up all my essays
Tuesday I trekked it up to uni for all of 10 minutes but I needed to hand an essay in so it was necessary
I did however meet my Dad in Covent Garden, he's working on some windows in the London Film School. Had a cup of tea and wander with him and then spent two hours in Covent Garden myself.
Finally got me some MAC foundation and so far I LOVE it :)
Wednesday had the rest of my deadlines
Rest of the week's just been full of working, gym, seeing Gavin and being cold (our boiler's broken :( )
I've over done it with the gym this week and my hips have been sooo bloody painful but I soldiered on

So happy their all finished.....

Finally managed to find a way to style this jumper that I like
Camel Jumper: Topshop
Black vest: New Look
Skinny Jeans: Torrid
Brown Brogues: New Look

I'm feeling pretty crap at the moment, I've put on a fair bit of weight and I have no idea why :(
I go to the gym at least 3/4 times a week (except when deadlines are looming) I eat averagely healthy, not perfect but it isn't terrible. I just don't know what to do anymore

On the plus side I'm loving this MAC make up
The MUA was extremely helpful with finding my correct shade and showed me how to apply without looking like a 'creepy dolly' (Gavin's words, not mine)
Hopefully my skin will stop breaking out as I'll be using less product, fingers crossed!

Popped into Tesco yesterday and bought this jumper, I've had my eye on it for a while and it was reduced to £8, had to have it!
I also bought a taupey colour, holey jumper.
I went in there looking for some pretty dresses but nothing caught my eye, oh well!

I've been looking at a few things I'd like to by in the New Year and feel I need to do some MAJOR saving!
Or win the lottery... either would be helpful.

I'm off to get in a Christmassy mood and cook dinner
Snuggly night in with Gavin is on the cards me thinks :)

Pandas, New York and Life....

It's been another crazy week.
My tutor for photography has had me pretty much change my project from twisted fairytales (which I've done a whole summer's worth of research on) to something more concept based...so now I have choice of women's struggle in being sexy (I can't explain it very well....) or child abandonment issues/attachment theory. I think I'll go for the latter.
Anyone know any photographers/theorists who have dealt with this theme???

Other than that I've started working on my first essay of the symester which isn't going too badly for the minute. For the media side of my degree I have to keep a surveillance journal for 24 hours recording how many times I'm watched etc. I know it's going to make me so paranoid!!

All I seem to do is uni work and work work. I've seen my Mum a lot this week which has been nice, went to see The Hole 3D, in no way is that kiddies film! I was scared and I love horrors!!! And I saw The life and death of Charlie St Cloud, which was rather good, sad but good....

I still haven't got round to putting together my review posts but when I get some more time I'll pop them up, to be honest I don't know if it's really worth it!

Anyway here's some photos of things I'm loving this week...

Pandas :D
I love Pandas so much

New York

My Mum's said that as I'm not really into the idea of a big 21st birthday party next year that we'll go on a holiday to celebrate my birthday and my graduation (possibly even engagement...) and I've wanted to go to New York for years :) So we're planning on spending a week in New York and then doing a cruise together for a week, I'm so excited!!! Even though it won't be until November next year :(
Gavin also wants to take me away near my birthday, I'm hoping somewhere hot and tropical :P but it will probably be Devon or Cyprus. He did say when we first started seeing each other that he won't propose until I'm 21 so I'm hoping next year....fingers crossed!!

Dachshund

I'm still waiting but patiently...
Excited! Maybe under the Christmas tree.......

Snow Fairy

I had to see what all the fuss was about Lush's limited edition Christmas goodies and have since fallen in love with this loooovely :)
I've already stocked up with another large bottle hidden away. I LOVE showers now, I don't mind getting out of bed early for uni for this little bottle of goodness. Nom nom nom!

Gossip Girl

Pretty Self explanatory....
I love it :)
Series 4 is awesome, just a shame Gavin doesn't like it so I can't watch it when he's around. I've even got my best friend hooked on it, woop :)

I've also gotten back to the gym and am well and truly into my Christmas shopping, well about halfway there. We've been car hunting too so like I said busy busy busy!!

OOTD's and recent shopping splurges

Well it's been a busy few days. Been working lots, going to the gym loads (I've got until the 28th August to sort myself out...), and shopping of course...
Outfit for shopping...
Dress: New Look
Cardigan: Topshop
Leggings: New Look
Necklace: Asos

I'm always a happy bunny when I'm shopping so it was a good day for me :) apart from having to go to work till midnight after but oh well, more money towards my Speedy :)
My lovely Mum gave me some bits and pieces to take back for her and let me use the money to treat myself, which of course I did. I also took some money out of my holiday savings just to treat myself after a 50hour week.

First stop Lush

After my first dabble with Lush I now love it! I got the sweetie stack of soaps with 'Honey I washed the kids', 'Rockstar' and 'I should coco'. They all smell fantastic, I just need a soap tray next to the sink to stop Mum telling me off for leaving soapyness everywhere...
I really liked the massage bars I got before so I got 'Strawberry feels forever' and 'Mange Too' both smell really sweet and yummy. Because I bought two I got a free tin which is handy to take them to the gym in. I then got the 'Comforter' bubble bar, I don't really have baths I'm more of a shower person but thought I'd try it out so after a stressful day of work and going to the gym twice I had a lovely PINK bubble bath, it was soooo good :)
The last little thing is the 'Whoosh' temple balm, it's been a saviour for keeping my focussed this week, a difficult job!

I then went into New Look and a small little boutiquey shop near me. Oh and of course Primark but I only got a vest and underwear, no need for pictures!

I love this little jacket, it was reduced from £28 down to £18. It's so pretty and I was quite surprised to find it in New Look of all places. I can't wait to wear it and will post an outfit post when I do.
This sparkly vest top would look really nice with skinny jeans and heels, and it was only £6 :) reduced from £22. I was rather happy. I got home and found my Mum had bought this too...we have really similar taste apparently!
My Mum bought a green maxi dress from this little shop near where I live but the sizing was wrong and it looked terrible so I took it in to get a refund, they refused to give me a refund and I initially couldn't find anything I liked. Then I saw the rail full of maxidresses and found this beauty. I love maxidresses and I love peacocks so the print on this really attracted me. It is extremely slimming on which is a bonus for me and with my mum's exchange only cost me £5 woop :D

Last stop was The Body Shop
They had an offer on the shower gels, one for £6 or four for £12...so of course I had to get four, cherry, strawberry, lemon and satsumas. They all smell yummy so I didn't really mind. The travel sized goodies were buy four and get a free make-up bag (this was the last one left, I couldn't resist!) I got the foot spray stuff, this was a godsend on my duke of edinburgh expeditions and hopefully will be nice on my tootsies after traipsing around theme parks and shops all day on holiday, and some more shower stuff. All been put away for holiday of course. The blue poofer, as I call them, is for Gavin, he keeps mentioning he wants one so thought I'd treat him...

When I got home a whole heap of my ebay stuff and MaxC order had arrived. Oh this was such an amazing day for me :)
Lilac Dress: £10
Union Jack bag: £10.50
Cream Butterfly Belt: £6
Pink Flower Belt: Free
I will definitely be revisiting MaxC, really affordable and lovely items, also really quick delivery. Overall a very good site.
O.P.I Nail Varnishes in (L-R)
'Got a Date to Knight'
'Purple with a purpose'
'Suzi loves Sydney'
'Italian love affair'
I love O/P.I nail varnishes ever since my Auntie gave me a gold sparkly one when I was about 11. I've got anohter one on the way. These were only £5.89 each which I thought was good for O.P.I nail varnishes.
Silver Key necklace £2.99
Gold Camera necklace £5.99
Blue earrings £1
Panda brooch £1.99
These all pretty much sum me up, the key necklace is supposed to represent Bella's cottage keys from the Twilight books but I love key jewellery anyway. The camera necklace has a pretty pink flower on it too, two of my favourite things, photography and flowers. I love the nautical trend, almost as much as florals, hence the earrings. And Pandas are my favourite animal, they fascinate me, I'm planing a month long trip to work with them at the end of my degree, can't wait!!

I'm still waiting for a few other bits but these made my day on Monday. But seeing as it's Thursday other things are making me smile. Tuesday I went to the gym and then met up with the bestest who I took to see Eclipse, having free cinema tickets is quite handy. Plus Kat said it looks like I've lost weight so it's good to know all my hard work at the gym is paying off :D
Dress: MaxC
Vest: H&M
Cardigan: Topshop
Leggings: New Look
Belt: MaxC
Necklace: Ebay

Wednesday was pretty standard, Work 12-6, gym after and chilling with my Mum in the evening so no outfit post for then...

Today however I've been to the gym, cleaned the house and sorted my room. I am so daunted by the prospect of having to pack everything. I am such a hoarder, it's going to take forever and I can't get motivated to do it... Should hopefully be seeing Kat today, not sure what we're doing so thought I'd make an effort with my outfit.

Dress: Primark
Cardigan: Topshop
Belt: MaxC
Necklace: Topshop
Leggings: New Look

And here's ae picture of me and my little puppy Honey, she's been keeping me company whilst I write this hugely long blog....
