Lust List

IMG_2372

1. Urban Ears Headphones in 'Grape' £50
2. Lush Sea Salt Hair Spray £9.95/100ml
3. Topshop Khaki Embellished Playsuit £45
4. MAC Eyebrow Pencil in 'Fling' £12.50
5. Love Dusky mesh pleated skirt dress £45
6. (missing the number) Schuh Bob Studded Ankle Boots £80

All of the above items are things I've been lusting after recently...and trying to justify buying.
As I'm off to New York in May next year I keep buying the odd thing and thinking to myself 'Oh that would be brilliant in New York', this doesn't work so well on the boyfriend though!
A few such purchases have been a lovely burgundy pair of Vans trainers, of course these were necessary for all the walking, to be done in style of course. I also asked for a Cath Kidston Saddle bag for my Birthday which my Dad kindly bought me, again I figured it was perfect for New York.
Out of this list of course I can only justify half of the items....those headphones have been calling to me since I saw them on Zara from Mouldyfruits blog (apologies I don't know how to link!) I love the grapey purple colour and think these would be great for in the gym too.
The playsuit and dress are gorgeous! The dress is just so girly and very me, I have fallen in love...after four days in New York we're going on a cruise so this little beauty would be great for the smarter evenings and the cute little playsuit would be perfect for the more casual evenings.
As for the rest of my list...the sea spray is something I've been interested in since seeing the Bumble and Bumble version but I'm pretty sure this is cheaper. Once my hair grows out a bit I'd love to be able to get the beach waves look.
I'm still on a mission to try all sorts of different eyebrow products, so far still loving Benefit Browzings, so being an avid lover of MAC I really want to try this out too.
And the boots...well they are AMAZING! I need them in my life...

Anything you guys are lusting after?

Dance the night away...

I haven't posted an outfit in so long!
I have to say it's a pretty poor excuse of an outfit post considering its taken on my iPhone and in the mirror...bad blogger!
This lovely dress has been in my wardrobe for about three years and I've never worn it...crazy I know.
Guess I never thought it suited me at the time and just forgot about it.
A little gem I found in an Urban Outfitters sale reduced from £48 to £5, needless to say very happy

 Dress~Urban Outiffters
Shoes~New Look
Bandeau~New Look
 Blazer~New Look
Necklace~Topshop

The back of this dress is the real statement but unfortunately I completely forgot to photograph it. Next time I wear it I'll make sure to get a pic.
Meet Sir Barnabus the third a.k.a Barney
My mum's new little pooch who I adore
I got plenty of cuddles with him this morning whilst feeling a little worse for wear

Birds of a feather....

My last deadline ever for uni is tomorrow...
Three years of my life is very nearly over
I have to get my images put onto a wall at uni and then I'm done
Scary
I've been super busy recently with uni work and other things
Bought a few bits and pieces so I'll do a collective haul type post some time next week when I finally have some free time
Went to Thorpe Park on Thursday this week which was awesome!
I've been so stressed I actually lost half a stone in a week, hope it stays off, but spending a day with some of my favourite people really helped me relax
Today I've had a real family oriented day
Most of the day was spent with my Grandad, his wife Mary, and my cousin Kayla at an adventure park called Knockhatch in Hailsham
We had a birds of prey experience voucher my Mum bought off of Groupon, £29 each instead of £80
It was a fantastic day, got to hold various big birds and flew some too
After that I went round to one of my Aunt's new house and had a bbq for her bf's bday
Was so lovely :)
Here's my outfit....

Blue and White striped Jacket: Topshop
White Top: Topshop
Dark Skinny Jeans: Torrid
Worn with brown loafers: New Look

Wearing my new MAC Hibiscus lipstick...a darker more daring colour for me but I love it
This little fella was called Zulu
He was a little cutie :)
And me and my beautiful cousin on the way there

I should be back to regular posting soon

'I'm a genie in a bottle...'

I don't know why but the sun makes me want to listen to old school songs from my childhood
Beenj loving these long weekends, most of my friends work 9-5 mon-fri so I only get to see them at the weekend...samne time I see the boy so it's hard to fit everyone in...oh god that sounds ridiculous!!
But anyway I digress... I've been loving my breaks from uni work to just chill in the park or elsewhere with some of the greatest people :)

When the student loan came in I designated myself a tiny amount of money to have a little splurge
Should get the goodies up soon I guess..
One of my favourite things I've bought recently are these trousers, which I've decided to call my genie pants, hence the post title
They are seriously some of the comfiest trousers I own and were only £24 from Next, with a £15 giftcard only £9 wahey :D
This is how I wore them to work, super casual to be comfy all day
Striped Top: Topshop
Brown Cardigan: American Eagle
Red 'Genie' Pants: Next
Sand Flats: Next

I've recently rediscovered a few items of make up
One being Benefit's Coralista and now I remember why I love this so much
Perfect amount of colour for natural rosiness
and it smells gorgeous too

Hope everyone had an awesome couple of long weekends

fairytale feeling

Well it's been a while since I last posted...
I'm still ploughing through my uni work, not long now till it's all over
I'm literally counting down to may 15th
So in the last week or so since I properly posted I've not been doing much
Going to the gym loads...my runnings now up to 30mins without stopping woop
Seeing my friends, I've reconnected with a group from school and am loving catching up and reminiscing
Planning my 21st birthday party, to be honest I'm not that involved in the planning process as Mum has a lot of things she's keeping as surprises, she's telling everyone but me!
I have sorted invites though so at least I know who's coming...
But I have been hunting down the perfect dress
The party isn't until August so I have plenty of time
My Mum took me shopping last night so I've included some photos of what she treated me to. Excuse how awful my hair's looking in some of the shots, it hasn't been cut since last august and the split ends are ridiculous! Needless to say I'm booked in for a cut and dye soon...thank god!

I'll start with the shoes ...

 Nude Wedges, New Look, £19.99
I bought these to go with my graduation dress
They're gorgeous and make my legs look amazing!
I wore them last night to my friends 21st birthday and I now have a new found love for wedges...so comfy and I can walk in them, perfect

 Brown Loafers, New Look, £24.99
I tried a few pairs similar to these one but settled on these
I have size 8 feet and these make my feet look tiny....great when I get told I have clown feet
Come on their not that big!
May go back for the other pairs when Mr Student Loan comes through
Nude Studded Flats, River Island, £26.99
I fell in love with these when I saw them weeks ago
RI haven't had my size in every time I'd been in until yesterday
Mum wasn't easily convinced that they were necessary but I love them and they're surprisingly comfy
Also means Gavin hasn't tried to wind me up as he's scared I'll kick him!

 (excuse vacant expression)
Striped Maxi Dress, River Island, £24.99
RI had a dress similar to this last year but with different colours
I love the pastel colours on this and think the stripes are oddly flattering
Can't wait to wear this to bbqs and lazy days in the sun
White and Blue Swallow Print Dress, Oasis, £60
This.is.perfection
This is the dress from my previous post, I tried it on yesterday and couldn't leave the shop without it
When I showed Mum the dress she said 'Oh I don't think that would be very flattering'..
as I walked out of the changing room all I said was 'Eat your words'
It's stunning...I've never loved a dress as much as I do this
I want to wear it now :( but I promised to save it for my graduation on the 28th July
So far away
It's a wee bit tight over my boobs but it's not uncomfortable so if I was to lose more weight (over a stone now!) it would still look flattering
 Love the detailing
This is my outfit from my friends birthday
Floral Blouse: Topshop
Striped Tunic: Topshop
Beige 'Chinos': New Look
I bought these trousers with Mum as well, £24/22.99 from New Look (can't remember!)
I've been trying to find some trousers like these for ages and was so happy that these fitted
I tried some on in New Look about 5 weeks ago and they wouldn't do up....HAPPY!
This Topshop blouse has to be one my favourite things in my wardrobe

White Sundress, Primark, £9 (I think)
I don't have much white in my wardrobe as I'm pretty clumsy and tend to make a mess
But I thought this was cute and fairly cheap so if I managed to destroy it it wouldn't be too big a deal
I wore this for the awesome shopping trip
Blue Vest: New Look
Striped Skirt: H and M
The skirt is another recent purchase, £12.99
I sized down in it and feel it's still flattering

I love my Mum
She's the best at cheering me up when I'm having a pretty shitty time

Love

Looking forward

I always find myself looking at clothes and thinking I can't wear them becuase of my shape
But now I'm looking at fashion differently and looking at trends I want to explore more and push my comfort levels
I tend to stick with dresses and cardigans, I'm sure that won't change a great deal but the shape and style of said items will change.
One of my close friends works in Ted Baker in the airport and has been showing my all sorts of gorgeous dresses
He's taking me down to covent garden nearer graduation to help me choose one
So excited! All the more reason to get down to the size 12
We reckon a size 10 would be good for me but I'm now not too sure
Guess we'll see when I (finally) manage to get there

Just a few bits from Topshop I'm lusting after
I avoid clingy dresses at the moment (obviously) but this cream dress is so nice
And trousers I tend to avoid a lot, I have a couple of pairs of jeans I rely on. I used to have a wardrobe with at least 20 pairs in! I've never had a pair of topshop jeans and it may sound silly but I can't wait to be able to own some
I also love the tailored trousers trend but it tends to emphasise my thighs so these belted 'chinos' will be one of my first skinny purchases (lol!!)
I'm rather excited :D

I adore a lot of stuff on the Ted Baker site
These three dresses are in the shortlist for graduation
I think my uni colours are red, blue and yellow so this red dress or the blak one would probably be best
But the print of the middle dress is stunning, dragonflys....just lovely!
When I'm loaded from a successful in career in the media it may be plausible to obtain all three but not right now...plus they'll have to wait in the queue behind the mulberry bag

Despicable Me came out on DVD yesterday
Since working at the cinema this became one of my firm favourite films
The little yellow minions are amazing I want one so bad!!!
And apparently I share many characteristics with them
If you've seen the film they do pretty much sum me up, except I'm not jaundiced
Off to Tesco when work's over (only another hour and half) to purchase this and some form of fruity treat, surprisingly not missing chocolate!
Excited, but have to wait till after the gym to watch it, hmph

I'm on a self imposed clothes shopping ban, there's no point, so I'm eagerly waiting for the 3rd March for the MAC Wonderwoman collection. I know it's out in Selfridges at the moment but I'm well and truly poor so waiting for the scholarship to come in and save some of it for then. I'm eying up an MSF and possibly a lipglass.... I would love it all but I'm rapidly running out of room in my make up drawers.

Current Lustings....

In an effort to cheer up oneself I have been internet window shopping...

I always seem to find myself on the Topshop website drooling over everything I can't afford
I'm having a serious dress moment and am fighting the urge to go out and buy more, more, more, but the first two floral dresses here are stunnning. Need in my wardrobe ASAP..won't happen though *insert obligatory sadface here*
New Look has had some lovely clothes in recently. The first dress I've seen in there a few times and always deliberate buying it, I can just imagine wearing it on a gorgeous summer's day maybe on a picnic or at the beach...could say I'm an idealist! I basically need to purchase everything here if I'm being 100% honest....sheer blouses are taking over my wardrobe, I need soemthing to wear with them other than skinny jeans, these trousers are sooo nice! I don't really 'do' trousers only jeans or dresses, think I may have to track these down and try them on, ditto for the shorts. And the shoes are self explanatory, I need tog et my feet out of boots and into these floral brogue beauties, nom!
I've been craving a new fragrance for a while
Was originally looking at the nectarine and honey scent but someone suggested this and after smelling the shower gel I NEED this!
Had to stop myself buying online, in March I'm going to London for tea at the Berkeley Hotel with the bestest and think I shall make Selrfridges a stopping point to indulge in this
The worker/hobo/whatever style boot trend didn't really interest me
But recently I've been feeling the need for some boots like these
They're perfect, and have a shearling lining so are super warm
Only problem is their from All Saints and cost a whopping £185
Only in my dreams right now
If anyone sees these drop into the sale please let me know!!

Off to resist chocolate soem more and eat raisins

Take Care
