University OOTD

Well it's the start of the third week of my third year at uni. I've got so many tutorials and library books to rummage for.....
Anywho here's my chosen outfit for today

Dress: Next
Cardi: Topshop
Tights: Primark
Bag: Guess
Brouges: New Look

I love this dress, being a curvy girl I struggle with things to suit me but find sticking to pretty floral dresses looks alright..it's a bit of a failsafe for me!

And now off to catch a lovely train :/
All though I do have a book on the criticisms of fairytales...gone are the train journeys where I could read for fun... still need to finish The girl who kicked the hornets nest, one day!

A lonely road crossed another cold state line

Well I haven't posted in ages....this is due to a number of reasons but I do have a few posts coming up :) photos of the flat, America make up reviews, Nail varnish reviews, Photography and photographers..blah blah blah
Anywho I have just gone back to uni into my third year and am seriously scared about this year.
I'm already struggling to keep up the reading I've been making myself do in order to get a first. In the first week In dragged a bag of 12 books home with me to plough through.
It's also proving hard to balance working, uni, a relationship and a social life. I just don't know what to do and to be honest it's really getting me down right now.
The cinema keep giving me shifts ending at either 10pm or 12am so I don't really get to see Gavin which really sucks :(
And I'm trying to see my friends and family too!! Ahh far too much to fit in. Plus the gym which seems to be suffering
So I've been doing a bit of retail therapy to cheer myself up, and watching tonnes of Gossip Girl!!

Shopping

Aviator Jacket £24.99 H and M

Floral Dress £14.99 (I think) H and M

Paisley Print dress £21.50 reduced from £50 Warehouse
I'm loving Warehouse's dresses right now, this one is so flattering on :)

Camel and black lace jumper £35 Topshop

Black Dress/tunic £35 (I think..!) Miss Selfridge

Blue Dress with shoulder detail £11 Primark

Black one shoulder dress £35 Miss Selfridge

Brown ankle boots £15 Primark

MAC Lipstick, VivaGlam and Please Me
My first MAC lipsticks and I love them both! Definitely eying up more

Nars Blush in Orgasm, I think I may have mentioned this before but it just makes me smile every time I put my make up on so I've put it in again :)

MaxFactor Colour Adapt, I used to use this all the time years ago and then started relying on all Benefit make-up...I thought I'd give it ago again as Maxfactor had a 3 for 2 offer and I wanted to buy some more make up...so popped this in my basket along with the false lash effect mascara and a light pink lipfinity kit.
As this w sin Boots I got one of the £5 No7 voucher so got myself the concealer brush for £2.50, I'm yet to use this though
And the MAC pressed powder, I'm interested in trying some of their foundation but need to find the time to go to a store and find out my skin shade first

My MAC Pallette
First Vertical row (I now know all the names!):
Woodwinked
Jest
Mythology
Second Vertical row:
Expensive Pink
Satin taupe
Mulch
Third Vertical row:
Beautymarked
Shale

So far my favourites are satin taupe, mythology and woodwinked

Snow Fairy and Mandarin Tea Soap
As soon as I saw Lush had their Christmas limited edition stock in I bought the biggest bottle they do of Snow Fairy and I can't wait to use it (got it on my break from work today) and I got the soap as a sample, again can't wait to use it. They both smell fantastic! Need to go back and stock up on Christmas Limited Edition goodies

Cupcake earrings £3.50 Accessorize

Another thing making me rather happy at the moment is the fact our flat is nearly straight, well there's still boxes in a few corners but we're nearly there. I love how I have all my beauty bits in one area now, except the goodies in the bathroom. I know I still need to do a mini tour so to speak for my blog :) We ordered our sofa the other day, so saving lots for that, alongside my personal trainer fund and the new car fund lol! I'd love those to be the 'Mulberry Bayswater' fund and the 'Louboutin Fund' but not yet I'm afraid :(

This is my top drawer in the clothes dresser full of make up and hair tools. It's all organised all though it looks a complete state :)

And these are the shelves above the dresser which Gavin attached to the wardrobe. The bottom one has all my eye pallettes, make-up brushes, everyday basic make-up bag and special jewelry in the Tiffany box. The second shelf is both Gavin and mine 'smellies' well perfume and aftershave. And the third shelf is a basket of bits and pieces from Clinique and Bodyshop, my bag of nail varnishes and all my hairbands.

Some OOTD's

New H and M dress :)
Primark Cardi
worn with burgundy knee high socks from topshop
Chestnut UGG boots

This is the outfit for Gavin's birthday
Primark dress
Topshop Necklace
Forever 21 Headband

This post cheered me up
And now to occupy Gavin with some food
I just made a disastrous attempt at baking a cake (unlike me, I didn't have all the ingredients and substituted) but made a yummy banana loaf :)
Off to get some dinner

America Haul

I've been back from my wondeful holiday for almost two weeks now and thought I'd post a few of the things I bought....
I haven't included pictures of everything as that would have taken far too long and I couldn't find a lot of it online and am too lazy to get everything out to take photos of, tut tut!
But this post is still extremely picture heavy.

These lip balms are amazing little balls of goodness! They taste so gooood :)

I've already hunted them down on ebay to get the two I didn't buy on holiday.

I had a bit of a blowout in walmart too, got some revlon nail varnishes for only $3 each! And some lipsticks, covergirl make up nothing too exciting really

Aerie:

I actually got this in more of a browny/taupe colour but it's lovely and snuggly

These P.J pants are awesome!!!!
And these are the best gym training trousers I have :)
Torrid:

I love Torrid's jeans, it is a plus size shop but I'm the smallest size so it makes a podge like me feel better :)
I bought these same jeans last year and love them so much I got another pair

And I got these for something a bit different

My best friend wouldn't let me leave without buying these, they fit so well
Abercrombie and Fitch:

Had a bit of a blowout in here...
Got this in dark blue too, and two vest tops which I haven't posted pictures of as their just boring!

This is actually Hollister but is pretty much the only thing I got in there so didn't seperate it...

I did actually get another two cardis and a jumper :/ oopsy!

MAC:

I'm terrible with remembering the names of all the eyeshadows I got...
I think they're:
Woodwinked
Expensive Pink
Jest
Satin Taupe (these four I know I defnitely got :) )
Mulch
Vex
213 Brush
I'm really impressed with MAC as I knew I would be and intend to buy lots more!

Shoes:

Short Chestnut Uggs
I wear these to and from work, so comfy after being on my feet all day
I've just seen these on the internet for £200, I paid $180 :)

Just because I threw out my old, decrepid converse just before we went...

Other stuff I bought:
Fossil watch
Tommy Hilfiger Denim Jacket and cardigan
Lots of Forever 21 bits (will be in upcoming OOTD posts)
New panda teddy (to feed my panda obsession...)
Nike workout gear
Clinique stuff in duty free
Juicy Couture perfume
Marc Jacobs Dasiy perfume
Chanel Chance eau tendre
Three Guess handbags
Dresses from Pacsun and Charlotte Russe
Burts Bees goodies
And I think that's it
I intend to do frequent outfit posts once I get back to uni as I won't be wearing a horrible red polyester uniform all the time :)
Sorry for the super long post but it kept me busy at work

Autumn Love

I am currently loving life right at the moment!
The weather just makes me so happy :)
I love it when it's so cold and crisp and I can wrap up all snuggly
I'm looking forward to walks with Gavin and hopefully a little puppy soon
I'm even looking forward to going back to uni next week, AND the early mornings!!
This is coming from someone who sleeps in 'till 11 even when she goes to sleep at 11 the night before, I looove sleep but love Autumn more.
Autumn fashion gets me excited too...

£24.99 H+M
Love this aviator jacket
So much so I ordered it :/
A lot cheaper than alternatives which is good for the student budget!

Shift Dress £45.00 Topshop
I love the simplicity of this dress and as soon as I get my student loan through I'm off to Oxford Street for a bit of a spend up!

£48.00 Aran Knit cardigan Topshop
I love how snuggly this cardi looks
Definitely buying this when I get to Oxford Street
Also need to hunt down a winter coat, I've got £40 of gift cards saved up for it
I'm thinking navy, I don't have a navy coat.... :)

Floral Dress £40.00 from £60.00 Warehouse
I saw this dress a couple of weeks before I went on holiday and adored it!
But for £60.00 I couldn't really justify another floral dress....
The best friend needed to buy a new top today so I had a snoop too and found that this dress had £20.00 off plus student discount and it was only £34.00
Naturally I had to have it :D

Floral Dress £14.99 H+M
Another floral dress I recently purchased....oops!
Completely different colour palette compared to my other floral dresses

I also treated myself to a new uni bag from Next. Couldn't find a picture on the website but it's a sheepskin satchel type bag and only £35.00

I might do a post on all the goodies I bought from America, not sure though might take a while!!
