L'oreal Paris Glam Shine Stain Splash in 'Juliet'

L'Oreal Paris GlamShine Stain Splash
Juliet
£7.99

These new lip products have been popping up on various blogs and instagram for a few weeks now and I just had to give in and buy one
They've been likened to the YSL lip stains and are apparently really good dupes
I've not tried the YSL stains as they're £22 I think and I'm not indulging in so much high end make up now as we're saving for the wedding
There are only around 8 shades available in the UK and there isn't a brilliant choice of colours, hopefully they'll bring more out soon
The stand in my local Boots was such a mess I couldn't tell which tubes hadn't been opened
The Juliet shades looked safe so I popped one in my basket
And I'm quite glad I did
The formula is a lovely, smooth gloss which settles to a nice stain
And the colour is a pretty red which flatters my skin tone
It's not quite as bright as in the photos as I used flash
I'm definitely going to purchase a few more

Have you tried any of these lip stains?

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

FOTD and an Easter haul

FOTD 2-4-13

products 2-4-13

I've spent the last four days giving my skin a break and going make up free
Whilst indulging in a face mask and sorting out my roots
Today I wanted to make myself feel like a woman again and slapped on a full face
I used my current favourite foundation the Estee Lauder Double Wear, it gives me the perfect amount of coverage especially with my terrible skin at the moment
I also used the Ben Nye Banana Powder for the first time and so far I'm really loving it
Hopefully it stays put all day
My Chanel palette made a reappearance too, something which doesn't happen often enough
I'll definitely be using this a lot more I love it on my eyes, the perfect day time look
As well on my eyes I've been liking using the Rimmel Scandaleyes Nude pencil to open up my eyes a little
And also the new Rimmel Lash Acclerator mascara, I'm road testing this at the moment
Not sure on my thoughts yet, it doesn't seem as amazing as some other high street mascaras out there

Easter Haul

I had a half day last Thursday and I indulged in a bit of retail therapy
There are a few bits missing here but I'm sure they will appear in a post soon enough
The Vans trainers are a neon coral colour and aren't the usual canvas material they're more shiny I guess...well kind of waterproof, it's hard to explain but I love them!
Can't wait to wear them in New York
I bought another pair of coral shoes from Primark which I intend to just wear on the cruise and probably leave on the ship as they were quite cheap a £4
I also indulged in rather a lot of new make up goodies
They will be appearing on the blog soon, I've been loving them so far though
The floral dress is just gorgeous!
I got it for my cousins wedding in August, need to tone up a bit first though
The Hello Kitty slippers haven't left my feet since I bought them
They are super comfy and keep my feet just warm enough

Have you bought any pretty things recently?

L'Oreal Confetti Nail Polish

Glitter Top Coat
Confetti
L'Oreal
£4.99

Nail varnish is quite possibly my biggest beauty downfall
I love it, it's my favourite product to buy and you'll never find me with no colour on my nails
When I saw Confetti popping up on numerous blogs I knew I had to have it, to me it's a cheaper version of the speckled nail polishes Illamasqua have released (which I'm desperate to get my hands on!)
I hunted high and low for a bottle all around my local town and gave up only to find it doing the weekly shop in Tesco, straight in the trolley

The polish itself is a clear base with teeny tiny silver micro glitter which is hardly noticeable on the nails, the star of the show is the different sized black and white matt glitter which gives the effect of speckled nails.
I think this top coat works best on top of pale colours and also brights
In the above swatches I have put it on top of various Barry M Gelly shades.
Lychee, the nude, works really well and I actually have it on my nails now
I don't think you get the full effect of it on darker polishes as the black glitter is lost

Have you tried this polish?
Or the Illamasqua speckled polishes?
