I touch the place where I'd find your face

Another outfit post taken on my phone...I will get a proper camera set up soon promise
As my full time job has me wearing navy combat trousers and a blue shapeless shirt with black steel toe capped safety boots five days a week in the evenings and on my days off I like to feel remotely feminine and of course enjoy a bit of pampering and retail therapy on my days off.
Today was no different, I enjoyed a little lie in and a looooong hot shower before going window shopping. I behaved and only made a wee little purchase which was a bargain and therefore rude not to.

Didn't realise how much New Look I was wearing...topped it off with a coat from there too!

Beautiful new shoes from Dorothy Perkins
£43 down to £12 thank you!
Checked the website and their on there for £35 so even more of a bargain for me!

Loving: Gossip Girl being back, Marks and Spencers chocolate, chilled out evenings at home, bargainous shoes, a clean flat, pre-holiday shopping, blogging again

Not so loving: Early mornings at work, being freezing cold at work, lack of money...

Dance the night away...

I haven't posted an outfit in so long!
I have to say it's a pretty poor excuse of an outfit post considering its taken on my iPhone and in the mirror...bad blogger!
This lovely dress has been in my wardrobe for about three years and I've never worn it...crazy I know.
Guess I never thought it suited me at the time and just forgot about it.
A little gem I found in an Urban Outfitters sale reduced from £48 to £5, needless to say very happy

Lush hauling and Catastrophe Cosmetic review

On New years day I decided to dye my lovely blonde locks red...new year new hair colour of course...
My family all hated it, I'm a natural blonde and they all love my hair colour.
I visited my grandad in hospital and his reaction told me I'd best get back to blonde soon...
Oops!
So off I went to the hairdressers, Mum had bought a groupon voucher for a cut and colour so I spent the day in Brighton which was quite the nice way to spend a day off.
The hairdressers was called Cisco's Karma and I couldn't reccomend them enough.
Such a relaxed environment and a lovely salon all round.
The hairdresser managed to lift the majority of the red and I came out very happy.
He suggested I invest in a purple shampoo to try and ash out some of the red still in my hair so off I trotted to Lush, £30 later I was a happy bunny :)
Now just waiting for the 15th March when I'll be going bright blonde with pastel pink ombre

(this is two cumalitive lush hauls, if I could get this all for £30 that would be a miracle!)
Daddy-O Shampoo~£15.50/500g
Marilyn Hair Treatment~£8.50/225g
Herbalism~ Random act of kindness whoop
Catastrophe Cosmetic~£5.75/75g
Tea Tree Water~£7.00/250g
No Drought~£6.50/115g
What Lush says: You know those times when you get one or two spots and it throws you into panic? Well, this mask is here to lend you a bit of perspective, to tell you to calm down, it’s not the end of the world and it’s nothing that can't be sorted. Basically, this is your best mate in a pot.

Irish moss gel will soften the skin, whilst almond oil will moisturise and leave it supple.
Fresh blueberries are full of vitamins and minerals and are anitoxidant. Rose absolute and chamomile essential oil will reduce redness and irritation. Calamine and talc will deep clean and soothe the skin at the same time.
Combined together they provide your skin with a good deep cleanse without causing puffiness – leaving the face cool, clear and calm.

This is a deep cleansing mask that it designed for regular maintenance to keep the skin clean and clear. Regular deep cleaning can avoid spots occurring and keep skin in top condition

All the goodness in this mask makes it seem like the best choice for my skin right now.
I keep breaking out so all the soothing and deep cleansing qualities are right up my street.
As with any face mask you look like some sort of swamp monster wearing it...love sending my mum photos of that!
I will say I've only used this once but my skins already getting better, with a regular facial routine I hope to remain spot free...wish me luck!

New Tattoo

Inked by Chic Childs from Seven Sins
Sunday 29th January at Brighton Tattoo Convention
LOVE IT

Duty free goodness

One of my favourite parts of going on holiday is raiding the duty free counters..and I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
I always come out with at least one perfume but try to keep the make up purchases to everyday essentials where I can save myself a few pennies.
Since I've been back from China (months now) I have to say I've been using all of these products almost daily. Good choices for a change!
Al though considering I bought these back in November I can't remember how much I paid for them all...fail.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, Kiehl's Mango Lip Balm, Paco Robanne One Million, YSL Shocking Mascara, YSL Rouge Volupte in 1, MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque
I've been contemplating buying one of these lipsticks for so long and finally took the plunge knowing it was slightly cheaper than high street prices. I love it and when I go to Kenya in March I am most definitely going to purchasing the coral colour. The lipstick applies so smoothly to lips and is a gorgeous colour. The packaging is super luxurious too, feel ever so glamorous pulling this out of my bag on a night out!

Not much can be said about a lip balm really except I'd heard about this on numerous blogs and couldn't help but try it out.
Ended up being an essential in the China wind.
Will say my Mum mocked me for spending nearly £9 on a lip balm though...
But hey you only live once!
I fancied trying a new moisturiser so purposely didn't pack one
I'd never tried any Kiehl's products so figured why not give their moisturiser a go.
So far I love it and use it daily, it's not too heavy and sinks in very quickly so I don't have to wait too long in my really rushed morning routine

I'm in split opinions about this, it's quite a runny formula and I often blink a little too much getting mascara all over my eyeshadow/foundation
But I love how it makes my eyelashes look, it's a very black formula and gives lashes volume and length.
I do find the smell can be a little overpowering but once applied it's not noticeable
Another product I've been after for a while
It's such a gorgeous colour and I've been using it both on its own and as a base

I've finally visited a Sephora (Victory dance)
On our last day in China we stayed in Shanghai and as soon as I spied the sign I had to make the guide stop there
All other make up brands were more expensive so I just settled with Sephora's own brand
A highlighting powder and eyeshadow pallet.
Can't say I've used the eyeshadow too much because I'm too addicted to my naked pallets!

On the plane home I saw this little set of four lip balms for $36
After paying £9 for one I thought that was a pretty good deal
Mum bought them but saved them for Christmas
New lip balm love right there :)
