'when you breathe I want to be the air for you...'

Well it's been rather a long time since I've blogged...
The last time I posted I just received my uni grades
Since then I've been to Egypt for a week with the bestest
Graduated from university
Done some more PR work experience
Had my 21st Birthday
Celebrated both my graduation and birthday with a big party
Got a new full time job, working in a tile shop oh so glamorous!
And generally been going out with friends and trying to take my mind a few things
A few more negative things have been happening so I've not had much motivation to blog
I'll put some photos on this post of these recent events
And hopefully I'll get back into blogging properly over the next few days/weeks
Waiting at Gatwick Airport, luckily a 5min drive from where we live :)
Treated myself to some duty free goodies, a MAC mineralize skin finish form the new semi precious collection, Creme Cup lipstick and Flora by Gucci perfume
The private beach at our hotel in Egypt...wasn't really a beach more of a jetty you walk off straight into the sea. It was AMAZING! The water was so clear, we bought snorkels so we could see all of the beautiful fish
Pouty beauties :P This was just after we'd had a massage on our first day
Quite like my hair like this but haven't managed to re-create it :/
I abandoned glasses for most of the holiday, I was far too hot to wear them. It was between 40-45 degrees most days! The off season in Egypt so the hotel wasn't busy at all
Drunk poses on the way up the 200 stairs back to our room
Dress: Warehouse
Sandals: Primark
Bag: New Look
We only left the hotel once and that was to go to the old market in Naama bay
This photo was taken in a perfume shop whilst we waited for our taxi
Jacket: Primark
Strapless top: Topshop
Sunglasses: Rayban
 Sea side photos
I got rather burnt on my arms the first day so kept covered up most of the holiday
This kimono thingy was a last minute buy in primark before we left, best £6 I ever spent!
Self timer photos whilst Kat talks on the phone :P
Dress: Republic
Belt: From Dorothy Perkins Top
On the resort was about 4/5 pools, we found this one by the spa and it was pratically deserted all day so we comandeered it as our own private pool
Photo bomb extrordinaire in the bakground there!
Firm favourites at the beach bar :P
The waiter made us our own special cocktail, mango juice, weak vodka (it was all far too strong for our light weight tendencies!), and grenadine blended with a bit of ice. NOM!
Dress: Hollister
I got kind of drunk on the last night and ended up falling off of the bed....pah love it!
Dress: Billabong
Sandals: Next
A week after we got back from Egypt I graduated
Dress: Oasis
Wedges: New Look

With a very proud Mum and Dad
We met Kat at a restaurant back in Horley for a celebratory Tapas meal
Was amazing!

Quite possibly my favourite picture from my graduation
My Grandad and me
My 21st birthday :)
Kat came round with all my birthday presents 21 in total...
Including; a pair of Toms, Mountain Dew, a panda barbie, more panda related goodies, condoms!, a first aid kit, nail varnish, bubbles, and the best bit was a gorgeous purple links of london friendship bracelet... I do love my best friend :)
Friday 5th August we headed to the local pub
It was my Nanny's birthday so I wanted to go out and take my mind off of things
Just a small group of us but we had a good night
Al though I did seem to think that running around Horley at 1:30am with no shoes on was a good idea...the night before my party where I was wearing some rather high heels!
The above photo is myself, Kat and my cousin Kayla...two of my favourite girls I don't know what I'd do without them!
I got this duck in my goodie bag from graduation
He features a lot in photos from my birthday weekend!
On the 6th August I had my party
Obviously panda themed!
My mum and dad came together to organise an amazing evening.
the decorations were amazing, we had a chocolate fountain, pick and mix sweet stand, popcorn stand, champagne toast, amazing birthday cakes, cupcakes everywhere and tonnes of photos scattered about
Mum displayed a lot of my photography work for everyone to see which was kind of embarassing but nice for everyone to see what I do
Trying to eat Kat's sweetie bracelet...
Kat's dress was New look
My Dress was the Debenhams one I fell for a while ago!
I had my hair done at a small salon in Handcross called Goldilocks for only £20!
If your local I definitely recommend you check them out.
Me and my closest male friend Adrian
 Before I was allowed in
I love my family, always good for a laugh
My cousins Andy and Kayla, my Grandad and me

The birthday cakes, the chocolate covered one was actually red velvet...NOM!

With half of my 'boys' as I call them :P
With my Dad's side of the family
Me and the best friend :)
Both shoes from New Look
The rest of the boys :)
Some of Mum's side of the family
With two of my other close girl friends Sarah and Sophie

Overall a busy couple of months!
For my birthday everyone has put money towards a Mulberry Alexa bag...can't wait to get it. Mum's thinking I should wait till November as there's a Mulberry shop in the terminal we fly from at Heathrow but I don't know if it will be any cheaper...must find out! I've also worked out I've got enough left over to get the Tiffany Key necklace I've been lusting after and a new pair of running trainers. I've been well and truly spoilt this year. My Dad and his wife bought me a rose gold Michael Kors watch which I love! It's gorgeous! My cousin and her fiance also spoilt me rotten with a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet and key charm, MAC make up, Clarins skin care, Lasenza Underwear and panda biscuits :) Other presents were a spa day, makeover and photoshoot, £80 schuh vouchers (can't wait to spend them!) and lots of alocholic bubbles.

If you've made it this far I'm impressed! I should be back soon with plenty of beauty and fashion related posts. OOTD's may be sparse as now I'm working full time I wear such a masculine uniform and do quite an active job I'm going to be knackered in the evenings so nothing to fancy if anything other than PJ's to post! But I'll try :)

Take Care

10 Favourite Summer Nail Polishes

As the summer weathers making another appearance this week I thought I would put together a post of my 10 favourite summer nail polishes.
I tend to stick with similar colour groups and coral is a stand out for me.
From my selection I appear to be a bit of an O.P.I whore but I love their colour selection and the ease of use when I use them.
Please excuse the messy application I did this in a rush before going out last night
And I know my cuticles are a right state...I'm working on it. If anyone has any advice on quick fixes let me know!
O.P.I Nail Varnishes
Pink Flamenco
I Vant To Be a Lone Star
Bright Lights Big Colour
Mod About You
Whats With The Catitude
Whats With The catitude: I'm not a huge fan of pale blue varnishes on me but when I have a slight tan they look quite nice
This is my favourite light blue in my collection and I love that it's from the Shrek collection!
Mod About You: I got this polish at the make up show I went to a little while ago. I love it as a base for glitter polishes for a super tacky barbie look! It's a lovely pale pink, opaque in two coats so quick and easy to apply.
Pink Flamenco: A hot fushia pink. NOM! This polish makes me feel kinda sexy if that's possible through a nail varnish.... Like all my O.P.I polishes I love the application of this.
I Vant To Be A Lone Star: Part of the recent Texas Cowboys collection, I bought this on a whim in Sallys and actually really like it. It's quite a cool colour so I wasn't sure how it would look on my skin tone but I quite like it. I think it's almost refreshing...

Bright Lights Big Colour: I LOVE coral at the moment, so much so the dress I've bought for my 21st Birthday party is coral. I just find it very flattering against my skin tone and hair colour. This polish has a bit of gold shimmer shot through it which I think looks really ncie and gives it a little something extra.

Rimmel Parma Violet, Rimmel Show Off, Models Own Coral Reef, Models Own, Beths Blue, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
Parma Violet: I was looking for the perfect lilac, not sure this is it but it's still such a pretty colour. Really good wear too!
Show Off: I'm a sucker for a pretty pink colour so of course this appealed to me... Excuse the really bad cuticles...worse than the rest!
Beths Blue: Opaque in two coats, really good wear, lovely colour...winning! I tend to use for pedicures in the summer as it goes with the majority of my sandals/flip flops and wears really well.
Turned Up Turquoise: This could have done with another coat to show it's complete neon-ness... a really stunning colour I always compliments when I wear this. A bit out of my comfort zone but I enjoy pushing my boundaries.
Coral Reef: Another coral...as I said a very summery colour in my books. This is one of my all time favourite polishes and I always reach for it when I'm stumped for colour to use on my nails.

Cause you were born to be my baby

Today is my best friend's 21st Birthday so...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAT!
We've had a busy week together
Wednesday was spent opening presents, eating cupcakes, shopping, and going to the cinema
Friday we went out for dinner at Chiquitos and joined our guy mates for an evening of bowling
Saturday night we ventured up to Hyde Park for Hard Rock Calling to see the glorious Bon Jovi (my fav band) it was so so hot and we practically melted...god knows how we'll cope in Egypt!
After Bon Jovi had finished we jumped on the train home and straight into Kat's car down to go down to Brighton. One of the guys also turned 21 today so they were all out drinking their wages away. We just joined them for a few hours on the beach with fish and chips :) was rather spontaneous of us but awesome!
And then today (Sunday) I joined Kat and her family for a goooorgeous spanish meal in a local town, Reigate. It was so good! Once stuffed we wandered around the park for a bit in the lovely 27 degree heat...mmmm. Had a ride on the bumper cars, drank slushy drinks and chilled in the sun.
Such an amazing couple of days and I hope Kat had a great birthday :)
Love her to bits
Enough of the soppyness :P I promised a collective haul so here it is
This is from the last couple of months not bought in one go!!

Hot and sweaty at Bon Jovi
Third time I've seen them and easily the best!
Floaty, backless chiffon top, Warehouse, £25
I tried this on full price at £40 and loved it but couldn't justify that much money on one top so was rather happy to find it in the sale
You can't really see it here but this is the back
I'll get a photo of it on when I wear it
 Flora Playsuit, Tesco, £16
I love this and can't wait to wear it on holiday
Black and white Maxi, Republic, £40
I saw this and was instantly drawn to it, I'm thinking its the beaded detailing on the neckline
I don't really own anything like it and it's very flattering on

Blue tunic, Next, £35 (I think)
So light and summery, perfect for the hot weather at the moment
Nude embellished waistcoat, Primark, £13
Love this, again something I don't anything similar
I tend to wear this with a plain black top and skinny jeans
Hibiscus print dress, Primark, £5
So summery! We haven't had the weather to wear this without leggings since I bought it and it looks strange with them so I may have to crack it out this week if the weather keeps up
Cropped denim jacket, Primark, £16
Kat bought this a couple of weeks ago in Lakeside and I loved how it looked on her
I have a Tommy Hilfiger denim jacket but it's not very fitted and kind of reminds me of something my Mum had in the 90's...impulse buy from America!
I bought this just before we headed to Bon Jovi, good job I did for our trip to the beach after!
Cream lace top, Next, £22
Since I've been going out again I realised I didn't have much in the way of evening outfits
I had some old stuff but it's most definitely not my kind of style anymore so when I saw this I thought it could look nice with plain skirts and blazers etc.
Navy and white polka dot palazzo pants, Next, £35
These are the trousers from my previous post
Very comfy :) except I always trip myself up in the flowy legs!
Grey textured skirt, Next, £38
I wore this on a night out with the lace top above and it looked really nice
I felt good too, which doesn't happen very often!
Floral bandeau dress, Peacocks, £16
Love the turquoise and coral colours together
Should be nice for holiday
Just a few beauty bits I've picked up recently
Tangle Teezer,, Barry M shatter coats in pink and blue, Tweezers, OPI I Vant to Be a Lone Star, MAC lipstick Hibiscus, MAC surfbaby cheek powder My Paradise, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

Top: Gold flower in My Paradise
Middle: Coral section in My Paradise
Bottom: Hibiscus
I finally got my hands on the Naked palette :D So happy!
OPI Skull and Glossbones, Rimmel Ultraviolet and Show Off, Impulse Tease with free Barry M lipgloss, Accessorize flower earrings £8
I love all of the nail varnishes. I was on the hunt for the perfect lilac colour and this is very close but not quite there, it's not quite as vivid as I want it. I'll find it one day!
I won't bore you with swatches as it's on every blog going somewhere but this is my new love
So pretty...
Sorry their a bit dirty I wore them traipsing around London all day last week
Turquoise frilly sandals, Primark, £6
These are so comfy I'm tempted to get another pair in a different colour
Coral suede courts, New Look, £25
I'm loving coral colours at the moment
They scream summer to me
These started off really comfy but towards the end of the night my feet were sore
As with all heels though

Well there's my recent goodie collection
I'm loving all the summer clothes in store at the moment but don't have much money which sucks
Hopefully I'll have some more funds for duty free shopping in July
